Overnight Car Accident Leads to Altercation & Shooting, Sending One to Hospital
Topeka Police are investigating a two-car accident that resulted in a shooting incident overnight.

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – Topeka Police are investigating a two-car accident that resulted in a shooting incident overnight.
Authorities say it happened near Huntoon and College Ave, before 3 a.m.
Police said the car wreck left one of the vehicles on a residential front lawn.
After the accident, authorities say the drivers and passengers of the two vehicles had an altercation.
One of those involved grabbed a gun, and shot another in the rear.
That person was hospitalized, but will be arrested on local warrants after they are released.
Both of the drivers were taken to the police station on suspicion of a DUI.
