TOPEKA -- CD Tradepost is helping its shoppers give back to those in need and receive a special discount for their generosity. The "Thanks for Giving" promotion runs the month of November. For this promotion, CD Tradepost is offering all customers a 20 percent merchandise discount when they donate a gift certificate of $5 or more to recipients of United Way's Christmas Bureau.
"We know there are many people who are facing difficult times this year," said Jason Peters, president of CD Tradepost. "We particularly like how this promotion will help provide gifts to older children and teenagers. Our customers are very thoughtful and giving, and we want to reward them for thinking of others less fortunate during the holidays."
"We appreciate the thoughtfulness of both CD Tradepost and their customers," said Miriam Krehbiel, United Way of Greater Topeka president and CEO. "This program is just one great example of the giving nature of our community."
The CD Tradepost giving promotion runs through the end of November. To be eligible for the 20 percent merchandise discount, customers must donate a minimum $5 CD Tradepost gift certificate to the Christmas Bureau, which will be collected in the CD Tradepost stores.
Gift certificates collected through the promotion will be distributed to some of the recipients of United Way's Christmas Bureau. For information on how to adopt an individual or family in need, contact 211 or visit www.unitedwaytopeka.org.
