TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)_ A crime wave of generosity swept through Topeka on Thursday as the M.D.A. hosted its annual Lock-Up.
Members of the community were rounded up and hauled off to TPAC, where they had to call friends and family to raise enough money to bail them out.
Organizers say they've raised more than $15,000 so far, calling the event is just one of the ways the capital city really comes through for the M.D.A.
There was even an oversized monopoly game to keep everyone entertained. Except, there was no get out of jail free card this time.
