Vatican To Unveil Restored Cross Holding Shards Of Jesus' Cross
Experts say the Vatican will unveil a restored the Vatican Cross Thursday. The cross contains fragments of the cross on which Jesus was crucified.

VATICAN - The restored Crux Vaticana (Vatican Cross), according to experts, is the oldest known reliquary containing the purported fragments of the cross on which Jesus was crucified.
Experts said the Crux Vaticana has been restored to its Byzantine-era glory. The Vatican on Thursday will unveil the restored work, a gem-encrusted golden cross containing at its center what tradition holds are shards of Jesus’ cross.
