MANHATTAN, Kan, (WIBW)_ The Riley County Police Department is alerting residents about suspicious activity by a blue van around the city. The reported incidents include:

•On November 2, 2009 an adult and her 2 year old daughter were at a business located in the south central area of Manhattan. While at the business an older white male with gray hair and glasses approached the 2 year old. The white male made unusual comments to the 2 year old that were suspicious in nature and then left the area driving a dark in color blue van that had a dark in color stripe on the side of the vehicle.

•On November 10, 2009 a 9 year old male was walking home from school in the northwest area of Manhattan when he was approached by a male driving an older model blue van, with tinted windows, and a black horizontal stripe along the bottom side of the van. The driver of the van asked the 9 year old male if he wanted a ride home. The 9 year old ignored the male, continued walking, and made it home safely without any further incident.

•On November 14, 2009 three young females were walking in the northwest area of Manhattan when they observed an older model blue mini-van, with tinted windows, and a black horizontal stripe along the bottom side of the van. The van slowed down and the driver reportedly made hand gestures towards the three females before leaving the area. The driver was described as being an older white male with gray hair.
