Fort Riley Soldier Killed In Iraq

FORT RILEY, Kansas – A Soldier assigned to the 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, has died from wounds sustained in Iraq.
Spc. Tony Carrasco Jr., 25, died of wounds suffered Nov. 4 when his unit was attacked by insurgents using small arms fire while providing dismounted security in Ad Dawr, Iraq.
Carrasco entered the Army in January 2008. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 32nd Field Artillery, 4th IBCT, 1st Inf. Div., Fort Riley, in September 2008. Carrasco served as a field artillery specialist. His home of record is Berino, N.M.
To date, 168 Fort Riley Soldiers, Airmen and Sailors have died while serving in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom.

I still cannot believe he has passed. Who would of thought someone so strong and with a passion to succeed in the Military would be taken away from all of us so soon! My Family and I, pray for his Family and we all Lost someone very special and A Great Soldier!
