SILVER LAKE, Kan. (WIBW) – The 176th Loyal Chapter of the Eastern Star Masonic Lodge hosted a brisket dinner fundraiser Sunday afternoon.
Attendees were served brisket, potatoes, cole slaw, cake and ice cream with their donation.
Organizers said they were more than happy with the turnout, with over 100 people dining with them Sunday, leaving little to no left-overs.
"We had excellent support from the town and from Eastern Stars in Topeka. So, it went over real well, we ran out of food, so what more can you ask for?" said Muriel Morgan, one of the event organizers.
The money raised Sunday will be used for the lodge’s dues, building maintenance, and for other events and programs they host throughout the year.
