TOPEKA -- Topeka’s Roadrunners Hockey team will sport white jerseys with a bold statement to LIVE UNITED.
The Roadrunners will showcase a special night dedicated to United Way of Greater Topeka and the LIVE UNITED movement at the Kansas Expocentre, Friday, Nov. 13 at 7:05 p.m as they battle the Wichita Falls Wildcats. In addition to wearing the special jerseys, the Roadrunners are also selling these soon-to-be collectors’ items to area businesses with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting the community.
“We’re honored to share this stage with United Way,” said Don Stone, owner of the Topeka Roadrunners. “The players and entire franchise truly believe in the LIVE UNITED cause. In fact, all of them have committed to volunteer in the Topeka community through the season.”
In addition to receiving proceeds of the jersey sales, a percentage of especially reserved seats in a LIVE UNITED section will be donated to United Way. Ticket sales to benefit United Way must be made through an online link at www.wibw.com/roadrunner. Attendees sitting in this section will have an extra opportunity to exclusive prizes.
