The pet food recalls are only getting worse as another pet food maker is recalling some of their pet food products.

The company announcing the recall has a plant in Topeka.

Del-Monte pet products has announced a recall of select product codes of its pet treat.

Sold under the names Jerky Treats, Gravy Train Beef Sticks and Pounce Meaty Morsels.

The company says they've taken this action immediately after learning from the Food and Drug Administration Sunday that wheat gluten supplied to Del Monte Pet Products from a specific manufacturing facility in china contained melamine.

Melamine is a substance not approved for use in food.

There are over 30 product codes affected under this recall. For a complete list click here for the Del-Monte recall click here: www.delmonte.com/petfoodrecall or you can call the Del-Monte Consumer Hotline at 1-800-949-3799.
