Topeka (WIBW) - A third charge has been filed against the wife of a murder victim.
Shawnee County District Attorney's Office spokesperson Dakota Loomis says a count of solicitation to commit murder was filed Wednesday against Michelle Eberhardt.
Eberhardt is also charged with murder and conspiracy in the Sunday shooting death of her husband, 51-year old Gerald Eberhardt.
Loomis says evidence shows Michelle Eberhardt had earlier approached someone about killing her husband. He says that person has been questioned and is not in custody or charged.
Three other people are charged in the case, Gerald Eberhardt's stepson Scott Mosher, a woman believed to be Mosher's girlfriend Stephanie Menard and a man who authorities say is a gang associate of Mosher's Derrick Haase. All are charged with murder and conspiracy.
