Kenyon R. Moran, 50, Topeka, was charged today with one count of stealing more than $1,000 from the U.S. Postal Service.

Moran was an employee of the Postal Service at the Gage Center Station for more than two and a half years. Prosecutors say during that time he took more than $1,000 in revenue from the sales of mail services.

If convicted, Moran faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in federal prison and a fine up to $250,000.
