As part of his year-long effort to encourage reading in Kansas, Sen. Pat Roberts visited Quinton Heights Elementary in Topeka Monday to read to Ms. Hamlin's second-grade class.
The Senator called reading, "the backbone of a solid education and I am proud of our state and these worthwhile reading programs that help put books into the hands of young Kansans."
