KDOT Changes Way It Evaluates Highway Projects
Officials say they've been developing this new approach over the past three years by working with the public. The process was created by Gov. Parkinson's task force on transportation.

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)_The state is changing the way it evaluates highway projects. K-DOT officials held a presentation at the Ramada Inn in Topeka.
Their new process will be more comprehensive, studying a projects economic impact and looking at regional priorities.
Officials say they've been developing this new approach over the past three years by working with the public. The process was created by Gov. Parkinson's task force on transportation.
State engineers also completed surveys for nearly 90 projects in the past month.
K-DOT continues their public presentations on the new process next Tuesday in Hutchinson.
