Several County Clerk Offices Closing Earlier
Several offices will start closing at 4 p.m. Fifteen out of 18 counties were previously given supreme court permission for the cutback on hours, due to their office understaffing.

TOPEKA, Kan., (WIBW)_ Fewer dollars and fewer workers is forcing the state to limit hours for county clerk office workers.
The offices listed below will all start to close at 4 p.m. Fifteen out of 18 counties were previously given supreme court permission for the cutback on hours, due to their office understaffing.
Workers will stop at 4 p.m., but will work in the office until 5:00 to clear out backlogs of paperwork on court cases.
