Kids Learn To Walk to School Safely
FedEx workers joined kids from Rossville Elementary to practice walking safely alongside busy roadways. The volunteers taught the kids some of the simple things they can do to stay safe.

FedEx workers joined kids from Rossville Elementary to practice walking safely alongside busy roadways.
The volunteers taught the kids some of the simple things they can do to stay safe.
The program aims to curb the number two cause of unintentional deaths among children five to fourteen. According to Safe Kids, a third of all child pedestrian deaths occurs between 3 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Safe Kids Shawnee County sponsored the event.

I'm glad for the volunteers, but it's pretty sad when they have to learn this from strangers, rather than their parents.
