Senator Sam Brownback's Idea For Iraq

Presidential hopeful Senator Sam Brownback brought his campaign trail by our studios this morning. The Republican Kansas senator talked about his proposals for Iraq.

He also answered criticism...calling accusations that the Republican senator is not pro-life... simply inaccurate. Brownback stressed again that republicans and democrats must work together to be successful in Iraq.

When asked about his plans for Iraq, Brownback says in discussions with Gen. Petraeus, they agree on the need for an Iraq made of different states for different groups.

"I think we really need to push for a three-state, one country solution...three states for Kurdish, Shia, and Sunni with Baghdad as the federal city. Their constitution allows for it...that's what we need to be pushing for, that form of solution."

Senator Brownback finished an eight-state campaign tour yesterday in Des Moines, Iowa. He heads to South Carolina tomorrow for more campaigning.
