Emergency Management Leaders Honored

Topeka (WIBW) - Emergency management workers honored the best of their bunch.
The Kansas Emergency Management Association held its annual awards banquet Thursday night. The event highlighted the group's 41st annual conference.
Mike Loreg of Harper County was named instructor of the year; Beth Reed of Republic county received the support professional award; Sheila Meggison of Douglas County was named outstanding new emergency management professional and Teri Smith of Douglas County is the emergency management professional of the year.
Honoreers were chosen for their efforts in improving the safety of our state.
KEMA also recognized its 2009 and 2010 board members.
