BAXTER SPRINGS, Kan. (AP) _ Baxter Springs police are investigating the death of former Pittsburg State basketball player Jamey Richardson.
Richardson was found dead in front of his home early Tuesday. Three men were arrested and are expected to make first appearances in Cherokee County Wednesday.
Police did not release how Richardson died, but said drugs were not a major factor in the death.
Richardson played from 2002 to 2004 for the Pittsburg State basketball team, after transferring from Southwest Missouri State-West Plains.
Despite playing only two seasons, he ranks tenth on the Gorillas' career rebounding list (558). He also holds the Gorillas' records for blocked shots in a career (143), season (77) and game (6).
