A man on trial in Costa Rica for University of Kansas student Shannon Martin's murder is jailed for allegedly threatening a witness.
Authorities say Luis Carrillo is accused of hitting and threatening to kill witness Daniel Mosquera.
The other two defendants, Kattia Murillo and Rafael Quesada, have been jailed since their arrest. But Castro had been allowed to
remain free.
Attorneys are scheduled to present final arguments on Monday in
Golfito, Costa Rica.
Martin was a 23-year-old KU student from Topeka. She was
stabbed to death in May of 2001 after she left a nightclub.
Martin was in Costa Rica to gather specimens for a biology project.
