Kansas Emergency Management spokeswoman Sharon Watson said Monday morning that ``probably more than'' 50-thousand homes and businesses are without power. Utility crews are working around-the-clock to restore power, but officials say it could be a week or more before the job is completed.

The Kansas Highway Patrol's airplane plans a second search flight today. Two stranded vehicles were found in a flyover Sunday, and their occupants were rescued by sheriff's deputies.
