Topeka (WIBW) - The Community Blood Center got some much needed help Friday.

Eagle Auto Wash partnered with the Community Blood Center for the event titled "When You Give, Others Will Live."

Those who donated blood got a certificate for a free car wash from Eagle Auto Wash.

The CBC says donations are desperately needed during the summer months, especially around the holidays.

Officials say more people take vacations, and more accidents occur during holidays.
