Arson Suspected in Osage County Fire
Kansas State Fire Marshalls suspect arson is involved in a fire that happened just after midnight Friday morning in Osage County.

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Kansas State Fire Marshalls suspect arson is involved in a fire that happened just after midnight Friday morning.

Officials say they received reports of a grass fire near 125th and Burlingame in Osage County at around 12:30 a.m. The Burlingame Fire Department was first on the scene and discvovered that a home was actually on fire.

Carbondale and Auburn fire departments were all called in to assist with the blaze. Officials contained the fire but the strusture was considered a total loss.

A Kansas Fire Marshall was called in to investigate the fire. Currently, arson is suspected.

Officials are offering a reward for information that might help in the investigation of the fire. Officials encourage anyone with information to call Osage County Crime Stoppers of Osage County at 877-OS-CRIME (877-672-7463).

At this time, nobody is believed to have been hurt in the fire. Officials say the home was for sale and was unoccupied.
