DNA Solves "Cold'' Rape Case
A 36-year-old Lawrence man has been convicted of a rape that happened 12 years ago.

LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) _ A 36-year-old Lawrence man has been convicted of a rape that happened 12 years ago.
Robert E. Grey was found guilty Friday of the 1997 assault of a then-student at the University of Kansas. He faces between 12 and 54 years in prison.
Douglas County District Attorney Charles Branson said the case went cold but heated up again in 2007 when a fingerprint left on the victim's car was identified by the FBI's Automated Fingerprint Identification System.
A search warrant allowed Lawrence police to obtain DNA from Grey. That DNA matched DNA taken from the victim's rape kit.

I wonder if you matched the DNA to the others that have been happening in Manhattan if you would find a match? These have been going on for about that long just at a different campus. Would be nice to know.

That is WONDERFUL NEWS. I am so happy this scum bag got caught, that makes my day. I hope DNA catches more of these perverts!!!
