Johnson County Attorney Paul Morrison is using his latest television ad to criticize Attorney General Phill Kline for pursuing patient records from two abortion clinics.

Morrison, a Democrat, is trying to unseat Kline in this November's election.

Republican Kline is trying to glean information from the records of 90 patients, but the effort is tied up in court.

Morrison argues that pursuing the records invades the patients' privacy.

His latest ad began airing Monday in Topeka and Wichita. In it, an announcer says Kline wants personal medical information in the government's hands.

Kline has repeatedly argued that no patient's privacy would be violated because a judge would redact the records before turning them over.

Also, he says, he's never sought patients' names.
