A Lawrence man is found guilty of exposing three women to HIV but jurors acquitted him of exposing a fourth.

A Douglas County District Court jury did not buy Robert Richardson II's story that he didn't think it was possible for him to expose the women. He testified that his drug regimen had lowered the level of the virus in his blood.

Richardson was convicted of exposing three women to the virus in the past year by having sex with them without telling them he was infected. Jurors said there was not enough evidence to prove he exposed a fourth woman who claimed he removed a condom during sex.

The 30-year-old Richardson remains in jail and will be sentenced
November 22.
