Brent Whitten watched as his son, Colter, played with the walker he uses to get around after his injury. And although the toddler may be too young to understand what it’s used for, that doesn't mean he isn't happy to see his dad.
A suicide bomber attack injured Brent Whitten three weeks ago. Brent suffered second-degree burns to his face and dislocated his hip. It's been an emotional couple of weeks from the Whitten family. Rachel Whitten says the trip to the medical hospital in San Antonio was emotional because of all the injured soldiers.
Although the burns on Brent's face have healed and he's becoming more mobile, the war in Iraq isn't far from his mind. Brent says when he’s healed, he wants to serve his country again.
