Attorney General Phill Kline meets his Democratic challenger, Johnson County District Attorney Paul Morrison, today to discuss issues.
The forum at Johnson County Community College is one of several both candidates have agreed to attend.
One issue that has come up at past events is Kline's effort to obtain patient records from two abortion clinics.
It has become a campaign issue because Morrison contends Kline is pursuing his personal anti-abortion agenda. Morrison has said he would drop pursuit of those records.
Kline says he needs information to determine whether the clinics are violating restrictions on late term abortions and to prosecute rapists with child victims. He says several prosecutions have resulted from information he obtained from those records.
Morrison has questioned the claim.
