HUTCHINSON, Kan. (AP) _ A former Hutchinson High School
basketball coach and physical education teacher has been charged
with having sex with a student.
Thirty-five-year-old Brad Specht appeared Wednesday in Reno
County District Court, where he is charged with one count of
unlawful sexual relations. He is accused of having sex with a
16-year-old on and off school grounds.
Specht resigned last month.
The Kansas Attorney General's Office is handling the case
because one of Specht's relatives once worked as a Reno County
assistant district attorney.
