3rd Man Arrested In Shrine Bowl Player Stabbing

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A third man has been arrested and charged in the July stabbing assault of a Shawnee Mission Shrine Bowl football player.

Shawnee County Jail booking information indicates 30-year-old George Isaac Martinez was booked into jail early Sunday morning.

13 news received a tip that Martinez may have been driving a vehicle with Daniel Wahquahboshkuk and Martin Rodriquez when they allegedly assaulted Brett Sterbach on July 27th.

Martinez has been charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated battery and aggravated assault in the case.

Rodriguez is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday. A preliminary hearing for Wahquaboshkuk is set for September 26th.
