In September of 2001, the United Nations formally established September 21 as an annual day of global cease-fire and non-violence.
Washburn Rural High School is celebrating the day on September 20 due to scheduling conflicts. The documentary "Peace Day One" will be shown.
The event is free to the public. It runs from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and takes place at Washburn Rural High School, 5900 SW 61st Street.
