Woman Arrested on Wedding Day in Wichita
Woman goes to courthouse to be wed, jailed instead.

A woman was wearing a wedding dress when she went to the Sedgwick County courthouse to get married late yesterday.
But she ended up in handcuffs and then behind bars. Authorities say when clerks entered Kandi Blakney's name in the courthouse computer for the marriage license, two outstanding warrants came up citing probation violations stemming from drug and theft charges.
The 36-year-old Blakney was jailed on $200,000 dollars bond. Records show Blakney had a 2002 conviction for fraudulently obtaining prescription drugs in Saline County.
Dispatchers called deputies to arrest ``a woman in a wedding dress'' at the courthouse, and Blakney was jailed by 5:30 p.m.
