Napolitano Talks NBAF in Manhattan

The new Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano, talked about the National Bio and Agro Defense Facility in Manhattan, KS on Tuesday. She assured residents the site would be safe when built.

(Topeka, KS)--Janet Napolitano, the new Secretary of Homeland Security, assured Manhattan, KS residents they would be safe once the National Bio and Agro Defense Facility is built in the city.

Protestors picketed outside of Pat Roberts Hall on Tuesday afternoon, trying to show Napolitano and Governor Kathleen Sebelius their displeasure at the NBAF's chosen location.

Napolitano mentioned the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, GA, and how it has remained safe through natural disasters. Click the video to see more about her visit to Kansas.
