It took ``The Fox'' to help find a special dog.

The disc jockey at KFXJ in Wichita is credited with helping return a trained service dog to her owner.

A black Labrador retriever named Tia can open doors, turn on light switches and serves as a brace for Tim Clark. An accident in 1998 left him with permanent neurological damage, limiting his mobility and speech.

But when Clark found himself hospitalized with pneumonia earlier this month, Tia was penned in a yard. She became frightened during a storm and escaped, taking shelter in Rick Moore's truck a few blocks away.

The Moores say they knew Tia was a special dog by the way she had been trained. But only after they heard the radio broadcast describing the pooch could they finally track down the owner.

The happy reunion yesterday left a smile on Clark's face -- and Tia wagging her tail.
