A Lawrence boy's quest to get a hedgehog for a pet caught national attention.

11-year old Judson King was the subject of Steve Hartman's "Assignment America" segment on Friday night's CBS Evening News.

Kudson wanted a pet hedgehog, but learned a Lawrence city ordinance banned them. He researched the animal, then went to city hall and got the ordinance changed.

Judson was rewarded with his pet hedgehog, Luke, for Christmas.
