Topeka- HyVee introduced a new way for consumers to determine a food's nutritional value.
The supermarket's NuVal scoring system ranks foods on a scale of one to 100. The company hopes it will provide consumers with nutritional information they can easily understand.
As you'd expect, fruits and vegetables consistently scored the highest.
HyVee says NuVal isn't a diet system. Rather, it's an objective way for consumers to make more nutritious choices.
