WASHINGTON (AP) _ President Barack Obama and his wife were serenaded by Beyonce at their first inaugural dance.

The president was in white tie Monday night, while Michelle was wearing a shimmering white, one-shouldered, floor-length gown. It is embellished from top to bottom with white floral details and made by designer Jason Wu.

They danced to the Etta James song ``At Last'' before celebrities and supporters alike at the Neighborhood Ball. Obama asked the crowd, ``How good looking is my wife?''

The new president said the ball, for people who live in Washington area, best captures the spirit of his campaign. He said that's because we all are neighborhood people.

The Obamas planned to attend ten balls Tuesday night.
