Students Use Eggs For Science

Topeka - Brenda McMurphy saw an "eggcellent" oportunity for her students to learn about physics, and have a little fun.

Her Landon Middle School students headed to the gym with their latest class projects. The 6th grade kids bulit containers that are designed to protect eggs from a fall. Thursday, they put those containers to the test by giving them a big drop!

The students planned their projects over their recent break. Teachers say that projects like this offer the kids a different way to learn.

Projects were graded on weight, how straight it fell, number of materials used, and if the egg broke.
