Topeka will have one less Dillons grocery store in a couple weeks.
The company confirmed Monday its closing its location at 300 Southeast 29th, near 29th and S. Topeka Blvd. The target date is January 17th.
Dillons spokesperson Sheila Lowrie says it was a "necessary step following review of our regular supermarket operations." She says the closure will allow Dillons to better serve its Topeka customers.
The store has about 100 workers. Lowrie says they've been offered positions with Topeka's eight remaining Dillons locations.
