A historic building opened its doors for potential buyers Wednesday morning.
Sumner School will be auctioned off on January 22nd. Minimum bids for the structure must start at $50,000.
In addition, the City of Topeka has a list of stipulations that the buyer must follow.
The open house gave bidders the chance to inspect the property properly before the auction. A second opportunity to view the property will be January 5th from 10 am until noon.
Auctioneer Dan Kooser says the sale is important to him because he is a former student of the school.
