Kansas Man Among 19 Pardoned by Bush

WASHINGTON (AP) _ A Kansas man is among the 19 people who were pardoned or had their sentences commutated by President Bush.

The Department of Justice said Tuesday that Delano Abraham Nixon f Neosho Rapids in Lyon County received a pardon for his conviction on "forging the endorsement on a U.S. Treasury check.''

Nixon was sentenced on Feb. 2, 1962, in the District of Kansas and received three years probation, with the condition that he pay restitution.

Other details were not immediately available.
