Three Killed in SUV Crash in East Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. (AP) _ The names of three people killed in a fiery Wichita crash yesterday are expected to be released later today.

Police say the SUV they were in crashed into an exit sign post along Highway 54 and burst into flames. All three were declared dead at the scene of the 1 p.m. crash.

Police captain Hassan Ramzah said the vehicle was eastbound on Highway 54 when it crashed near the exit to Oliver, ejecting the driver. He said the SUV went of the road once, corrected, then went off the road a second time and crashed into the metal post.
