Obama Review Set for Tuesday Release

WASHINGTON – Tuesday is the day President-elect Barack Obama plans to reveal his staff's conversations with the Illinois governor's office accused of trying to sell his Senate seat.

Obama spokeswoman Stephanie Cutter says an internal review of contacts between Obama's aides and Gov. Rod Blagojevich's office has been ready for a week and will be released "shortly." But she says Obama's presidential transition office continues to hold off on making it public at the request of the U.S. attorney.

Two transition officials, speaking on a condition of anonymity about the internal plans, said Monday the review would be released Tuesday.
