A judge denies bond for a Topeka man charged with second degree murder.  24-year-old James Qualls was in court Friday.  He is charged in the fatal shooting of Joseph Beier Junior.

A judge denies bond for a Topeka man charged with second degree murder. 24-year-old James Qualls was in court Friday. He is charged in the fatal shooting of Joseph Beier Junior.

Beier was shot and killed July 16th at the Whiplash Bar, at 21st and California. Qualls turned himself in to authorities July 31st. He'll be back in court January 16th.
