TriWest Healthcare Donates $15,000 to Kansas National Guard Foundation

TOPEKA, Kan. - TriWest Healthcare Alliance presented a check for $15,000 to the Kansas National Guard Foundation Wednesday, Dec. 17 at 10a.m. at the Kansas National Guard Headquarters, 2800 SW Topeka Blvd., Topeka.

Michele Henry, Chair of the KSNG Foundation, accepted the donation on behalf of the foundation.

"We're thrilled to have the support of TriWest Healthcare Alliance," said Henry. "This allows us to help our Guard members and families in ways we can't support through other funding. Our troops and families so appreciate this type of community support."

The Kansas National Guard Foundation supports deploying soldiers and airmen, their families and their communities in a number of ways. Funds donated to the foundation provide financial support for programs including camps for children of Guard members, community meetings, and trainings for family members, as well as the deployment and transitioning home process. The foundation also supports programs that educate the public about roles and accomplishments of the Guard, their families and the benefits of the Guard in communities.

"TriWest continues to be a steady partner that recognizes the realities of military service and its impact on our families," said Maj. Gen. Tod Bunting, Kansas adjutant general. "We are grateful to TriWest for this contribution, which will help make life easier to bear for Guard members, their families and their communities."

TriWest Healthcare Alliance partners with the Department of Defense to do "Whatever It Takes" to support the health care needs of 2.7 million members of America's military family.
