Police Arrest Residential Burglary Suspect in Central Topeka

TOPEKA, Kan. - In the early morning hours of Dec 16, 2008 Topeka Police Department officers responded to a residential alarm and discovered that a residence in the 1100 blk SW Boswell had been broken into.

A TPD K9 officer ran a trail with his K9 partner, assisted by other officers, from the scene. The trail led over a mile down streets, alleys and through yards, eventually leading to the 1300 blk of SW Western, where the suspect was located and arrested.

Arrested for the burglary was a Jacob Keeling, 19 years of age.

This arrest has led to information on several other burglary cases, and the recovery of stolen property.

Topeka Police Department detectives are continuing with the investigation.
