Two people are jailed in Jackson County after leading police on an eight mile chase in Jefferson County Monday. Officers tried to pull John Bradshaw and Nicole Miller over on US-75 highway Monday afternoon.

Their car broke down after the eight mile trek. That's when Bradshaw got out of the car and fired shots at a police officer, striking his dog. The dog had surgery and is expected to make a full recovery.

Both face charges of attempted first degree murder and assault on a law enforcement officer.
