Women Increase Awareness of Heart Disease

The American Heart Association asks all woman to take charge of their health. The fifth annual Go Red for Woman luncheon was held today at the Ramada.

The luncheon was aimed at raising awareness for heart disease, which is the number one killer of woman in America.

About 520 guests attended the luncheon and auction, which included red purses donated by local celebrities.

Woman also got advice about how to live healthy lives and take care of themselves.

The money raised will help fund programs for the American Heart Association on national and local levels.
