Reading Recovery Named Top Program

A reading program connected to Emporia State University is earning top marks.

The US Department of Education named the Reading Recovery program the best program assisting young students who are struggling with learning to read and write.

Reading Recovery is a popular early literacy intervention for struggling 1st graders.

Reading recovery is used by more than 100,000 students a year in 75,000 across the country including 58 Kansas school districts.
