A Topeka man received a life prison sentence for killing a woman outside a south Topeka hotel.

Jurors found Sterling Hall guilty of first degree murder and felony possession of a firearm on September 29th.

Prosecutors say he shot Pamela McMaster outside her room at the Regency Inn back in May.

The two had no prior relationship.

Hall must serve 25 years before he's eligible for parole.

He faces a second, consecutive sentence of eleven months on a firearms charge.
