LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) _ A Topeka woman is facing 11 charges and is jailed in $350,000 bond after a high-speed police chase that left a Lawrence officer injured.

Barbara Jo Schnegelsiepen is accused of intentionally hitting the officer with her car during the Tuesday chase, which started after she allegedly broke into two homes in Lawrence. The officer that was struck was hospitalized in stable condition Wednesday.

Court records show the 37-year-old Schnegelsiepen has been in trouble with the law before, including a 13-month prison stay for drug possession. She also has a record of no-contest pleas to numerous charges in at least three cases, including battery against an officer, theft, property damage and criminal trespass.
